About Me

I started playing drums at 11 and joined my first band at 13. After years of private tuition with John Dagnall (Tito Jackson, Diane Shaw), I earned my first qualification in Music Performance and Technology in Manchester. I then completed a one-year course at BIMM Manchester, studying with Brian Hargreaves (Ben E. King, Brian May) and Luke Flowers (The Cinematic Orchestra).

I spent a year performing on a cruise ship, touring five continents with the house band and show orchestra. This experience helped refine my technique and sight-reading skills. After returning to the UK, I completed a BSc in Business and Marketing at Bayes Business School, London, while continuing regular gigging, session work, and teaching 20 private students weekly. I also developed remote recording skills in my home studio.

In 2022, I started a Master's at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, studying with Gabor Dornyei, Richard Spaven, and Andy Gangadeen. My thesis focused on recreating UK electronic music for live performance, where I created a live Ableton set recreating recordings live by jungle-influenced artist Nia Archives.

Since graduating with Distinction, I’ve been freelancing full-time, working on tours, one-off shows, recording sessions, creating drum loops, and developing a hybrid setup.
